Sports Active Coaching has designed a sports programme to solve everyday problems encountered in modern day schools. This sports programme offers the following services:

1) PPA Sessions – these sessions will develop the agility, balance and co-ordination of children from reception to year 2 in all sports. Children in years 3 to 6 will work on the fundamentals of movement, technique and game understanding in all sports. All sessions are inclusive, safe and fun for all children. All coaches will also have undertaken a classroom behavior management course.

2) Active Tots – these sessions will help children to develop their agility, balance and co-ordination (ABC’s) through multi-skilled sessions. The ABC’s are fundamental building blocks to all sports and gives the child a wide variety of movement experiences that require co-ordinating body movements with visual information, such as ball rolling, throwing and catching balls, and striking or kicking.

3) Special Needs Sessions – these sessions will get every child to participate, having fun and using a variety of different movements to help develop better agility, balance and co-ordination. These sessions can be based on football, multi-sports or multi-skills.

4) Clubs – these are early bird, lunch time and afterschool club sessions where we have an emphasis on learning by using lots of fun action packed games.

5) Active Club – this club runs from 3.30pm to 6pm during term time from Monday to Friday and the children will be involved in a fantastic programme of activities that are delivered by our caring staff who are all fully trained, enhance DBS checked and have a passion for play!

PPA

We will work alongside schools to meet the criteria of QCA units (Qualifications & Curriculum Authority) for key stages 1 and 2 when coaching sports in schools. We also promise that you can be safe in the knowledge that your school is not just meeting government targets but exceeding them in PE.

Our sessions have been designed and checked by experienced teachers, advisers and inspectors and are all inclusive, safe and fun for pupils. The sessions are structured so specific learning outcomes are achieved through individual, paired, group and match play. We also work flexibly with all schools to support them in achieving their goals, contributing towards the school, its values, ethos and standards.

In addition to developing the motor system and laying the foundation for a positive attitude about physical activity, we also believe this is a very effective learning medium and will also improve colour, letter, number and object recognition. Our goal is to aid in the development of children’s sporting skills and encourage them to keep fit by creating an enjoyable and educational sporting environment which will be all inclusive. This means sessions can be adapted for the venue, different age groups, the gifted and talented and also for children with special needs.
